Used PolyTech M14 At Cabelas

I know this isn't a for sale forum or anything like that, but...

Tonight when I went to Cabela's to pick up some bullets I noticed a Polytech M14 on the used gun rack. Was near closing so it should be there tomorrow if someone wants it. I think the price is $800.00 (Which is half the cost of a Springfield Armory M1A).

Everything I've read on the chinese M14 looks promising (I already Own a Springfield Armory M1A), and the only real major thing you need to do is change out the bolt the a USGI Bolt.

SOOO If any of you guys want a M14, theres one at cabela's pretty cheap.

I had an FFL before the 94' gun craze and bought 15 of the Poly-Tech M14s to sell. They were $259 each when you bought more then 10 of them at once. Still had them in stock when the pre Brady buying spree started and made a killing on them. I kept one to shoot for a while and it was a good gun. I doubt that I would start a high end build with one but many people have. $800 is a fair price if they will stand behind it.

Out of curiousity, was the 94 gun craze bigger than the post-obama election craze?

No.. Back in those days, AK's came in with Thumbhole Stocks, SKS's were flying off the shelves, there were tons of ammo around, etc..

The Osama Bin Obama Craze depleted all ammo on the shelves, Any Semi-Auto Rifle is expensive now, etc...

During the 94 Gun craze, I remember seeing SKS's for $59 dollars and AK's for $140....

Well, I assumed that you could make a comparison based on observation.

Interesting. I wonder what the reason behind the difference is. Maybe more people are interested in firearms now.

I bought my first AK in '93, a MAK 90. I still have the receipt for it, $249..
I remember SKS's at Sports Warehouse for $69 and $89 for the paratroopers.

Its because there are rumors this time that Obama wants to Re-do the AWB with tighter restrictions (Example, Ban AK weapons and all variants). Not just a cosmetic look, his Attorney General wants to ban all semi-auto weapons. He also wants to microstamp bullets (Which people say, screw that, I'm buying all I can before that shit happens).
