Speer Gold Dot 124gr HP 9mm

Guys one of the military police dudes that I deal with over here has 3000 rounds of this stuff left over from his agency job that switched over to .40. He is trying to get me to take it off his hands. What is the going rate per 1000? Before I get beat up with the here let me google that for you shit, I can not access ammunition sales websites.

Try not to go over .33 cents per round.

The very best deal I've seen on 9mm was S&B for $3.99 a box of 50, keep in mind that's just about the cheapest/crappiest 9mm brass you can get. That comes out to $0.08 a round. However, speed gold dot is good stuff. The best price I've seen on it was surplusammo.com that ran a special on it a few weeks ago for 9mm 124gr Gold Dot HP Speer CCI 250 rounds $79.99. That was a very good price on that ammo, so how does that compare to his offer?

My contact has not put a price on the ammo yet. He wants me to make him an offer on it. At $80 for 250 I may only be down for 1000rds. I would like to make him an offer on all 3000 rounds though.

If it's the personal protection 9mm +P stuff it's going for $20.99 for a box of 20.

It's not cheap.

http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct...tNumber=216634

Ammoman.com has it for $400/500 rounds, but they are sold out.

Sportsman's Guide has the regular (not +P) stuff for $19.87/box of 20 :

unless you intend to resell at a profit, you will never use 3000 rounds of gold dot 9mm

^ This.

That stuff is the good stuff meant for self defense/protection carry.

You should never plink or target practice with it unless your last name is Gates.

Look, I get it. I already have 3000+ mix of ball FMJ and expanding FMJ. But when the zombies come I really want to put them down with one or two shots. And we all know how many zombies we will have to deal with. Either that or the end of days and if I can get this stuff at ball ammo prices even the better.

I hope you read the sarcasim in that first part.

The wife has imposed no more guns, besides I have more than my share of firearms. She has not said anything about ammo.

Has he hinted at how much he wants for it? I too wouldn't mind grabbing some rounds if he will work with you on the price.

Agreed.

I would suggest a lowball price and see what his reaction is. Could be that he doesn't want the hassle of selling it in short quantities, or to strangers who might ask questions he doesn't care to answer.

He chatted me up on it again today. I think I am going to offer him $750 shipped for the lot and go from there. He has zero in it and is trying to buy a new Harley the down side is he is a single E-7 deployed and making some good money right now.

Arizona/Nevada region

I doubt he will let it go THAT cheap but it is a start if he won't tell me what he wants for it first.

You're gonna get screwed on shipping.

I bought 2 100rd bulk packs of .45 ACP and 3 boxes of 550rds .22LR and shipped it to a member that couldn't find the stuff up north and it cost about $30 just for that.

You have to ship it ground, I believe it weighed in at about 20 lbs and I went UPS el-cheapo as I could.

I found out that it is classified as "hazardous material" and you have to go to a hub to ship it, you can't ship it from a satellite location.

Anyone want to buy any?

1000rds = $550
500rds = $300
200rds = $150

<--- no 9mm in the arsenal. But if I end up purchasing one for a carry, I'll inquire.

Congrats on the deal.
