CrimsonTrace grips

I know you guys have probably heard of them, but not sure if you've used them before.

Recently purchased a carry handgun, which should be here tomorrow, it's a SCXD40 and I wanted to try out the Crimsom grips.

Out of the box it's a very sturdy product and once I popped the batteries in to test, it's BRIGHT.

I'll update tomorrow with pics, once I get it setup on the handgun, but so far I'd say it's worth the money.

Bought it from http://www.lasergripdiscounters.com/ for $269 with free shipping and it got here in 2 days. Cheers!

I have have crimson trace on 3 of my sigs and a few other guns. To me they are more comfortable than a lot of hard plastic grips. They also insight a fear factor that may help eliminate the actually need to shoot someone should the need arise.

Have one on the glock, I like it. But I think I like the LaserMax better, although I've never messed with one.

I like how the Kimbers do not have the wrap around grip like the XD does.

So, i picked up the handgun today and put the grips on.

I know they say they are sighted at 50ft, but I'd rather adjust it myself.

You would think that while the grips are sighted in at 3ft, it should still be sighted at 50ft, though this seems incorrect.

Am I to just sight them at what distance I think i'll be shooting a burglar for example?

I've checked and the ones to fit my Kimber were well over $300++.

Damned proud of them, they are.

BTW - nice gun/key fob.

They don't make a "sub" compact in a .45. The smallest is a 4", which is considered a compact. I believe this one is a 4", with the full length grip/magwell to accomodate a 13 round mag.

Also, I think this one is used, but I'll check in a bit and post up.

The gun came with the Meprolight night sights and Crimson Trace grips. It's a tricked out Kimber model.

Sure is fun to play with so far!

So, how did you guys sight yours in? It recommends 50ft in the manual, just curious at what range you all did.

I wish I could have gotten a package deal when I bought my Gold Match. Kimber wants $365+/- for the same grips I have + lasar.

Went out and tinkered at the range today. Sighted it in at I belive 7 feet and moved over to 25 feet. I'm amazed, it's weird shooting and not having to aim down the barrel!
