My new toy

My first time as an AR owner. I picked up this S&W M&P from a buddy for $800. I enjoy it so far. Sorry for the piss poor pic quality

Just go easy on the accessories. I've seen some ridiculous SOCOM wanna-be shit lately. AR's are great rifles, but can easily turn into a damn Goldwing.

I've taken off the front vertical handle, but plan on adding a flashlight, and sling. I plan on this being my new feral hog killing gun. I'm used to hunting them with a bigger round but this rifle is fun.

Now its time to build one. Like stated good rifles just dont go nuts with extra's. I like them simple but i am building a range plinker. simple 14.5 with a red dot/rails/ and maaaaybe a light. I just cant see spending that much for a flashlight. Unless it will blind the fucker im pointing it at. You can build a few rifles with what some people spend on accessories.

Once i get this one done i'm going cheap and building a 16inch del-ton with irons only.

What you might call solitude is something i look forward to.

I couldn't build one because i like instant gratification. I'm too impatient.

I hear you on that. I'm the same way, and that's why i picked up a full rifle first. I've got one to shoot and one to slowly work on. If i didnt have a mri for my shoulder cumming up, i could have some of that bcm koolaid .

I've always wanted to go hog hunting, and should have when i lived in texas. I bet it is a blast.

What you might call solitude is something i look forward to.

Exactly. The AR/AK is for close to medium range engagements or scatter fire. I'd say anything beyond 100-150 yards you might need a bolt action.
