Gun Owner Survey

My dad sent me this link asking if I knew anyone that would take his Gun Owners survey. Thank you in advance for participating.

To be honest, I would never put something that blunt in my yard.

It says to the world that you are some right wing gun nut just praying for the day that you get to gloriously pump a few rounds into some invader. I am all for using and keeping firearms for self defense, but I have never felt the need to advertise that to the judgmental public who may or may not appreciate my affinity for firearms.

i thought they were all stupid. It looked like some thing for sale in a truck stop or something that collects dust on the shelf. You need a new design and clever phrases. Those did absolutely nothing for me

The thing about those gung-ho stickers and signs that people don't think about is this: You can be involved in a completely legal, justified shooting. The grand jury may no-bill you (meaning no criminal charges will be filed against you). Then some personal injury attorney comes after you - which is about a 95% certainty if you use deadly force. The lawyer is going to use your bumper stickers and yard signs to paint you as a blood-thirsty sociopath who sat around praying for the chance to shoot/kill/maim someone. Then his client, just a misunderstood youth from the wrong side of the tracks came by and booo-hooo-hooo now his children are all orphans and his baby-mama has been robbed of the only man she ever loved. Right, wrong or indifferent, juries eat that shit up.

In every CHL class I ever taught, I suggested that my students be extremely aware of this and resist the urge to buy trash like these signs.

Not a fan. Even if I weren't against buying something to advertise that shit, I wouldn't buy any of those. The captions are too cheesy, and the design is boring.

I agree.

And if I did buy a sign, it would be inside the house, for fun. Didn't see a "It's ok, but not for me" voting option.
