i have owned a couple of taurus pistols, a revolver .38 i love, and a pt111 9mm i sold to a fellow board member. just wondering if anyone had any insight on this model. for 299.99 i dont guess i can really go wrong. plus i still have a few left over gift cards and such so after TTL i would only be outta pocket for $150 or so.

god bless.

Funny I was at academy myself as well pondering the same thing. Couldn't get any real feedback from the salesguy on quality. I've never owned a Taurus but that's a pretty sweet deal for a .40.

Hell yea. At that price why the hell not? I've always liked Taurus firearms and never had a bad experience with them. Nor have I ever heard of anyone other than elitists have anything bad to say about them.

And those PT111s make nice little hideaways...

I once had a PT-92 AFD (the 9mm version with decocker safety). It was a great pistol, I still regret selling it.
I've owned several Taurus pistols since then and have nothing but good things to say about them.
As a matter of fact, my next purchase will be...

I just hate the triggers on them. They are double action only

Having owned both a PT-908 and a 92 I probably wouldn't invest in another Taurus semi-auto. I do have a Taurus M85 revolver that I would highly recommend but I don't care much for there auto's anymore. I'd spend the same amount and find a good used Glock instead or save up for something better.

Didn't like that either. Now I've got the Keltec P11 and it's a little better...
