Dura coating

Has anyone done this? I'm thinking about doing this to my Taurus 24/7 pro .45. Can't you just powdercoat it? Thanks!

I duracoat a lot of my personal stuff. With that said you are better off with something that small taking it somewhere locally that coats firearms. Duracoat like all finishes bonds better to a very clean and aluminum oxide blasted surface. It is very easy to contaminate the metal with finger oils and what not. Imo its cheaper to just pay a dealer to coat it unless you already pretty much own your own airbrush and blasting stuff. On the powder coating I would stay away from that. That could end up way to thick.

I was just thinking of doing this because I have a buddy with a sand blaster, and didn't think it would be too hard.
