Colt arms but the designation is M-16-A2 service rifle, which has a few differences. Google can be your friend.

Last rilfe I shot in the military was an M16A3. There are still A1s in service too. I got to shoot A1s, A2s, and A3s.... not much difference really. I never noticed any specific manufacturers markings on any of them though, but I didn't look super hard either.

M4 - M16 or what?

Are you guys given ACOGs or Aimpoints? If ACOG you need to get us a pic the part number with the scripture in it.

I only had two when I was in (not counting that Vietnam Era POS in Basic), both were A2's, both were Colt.

My weapon in Basic was an A1 with the traingular grips and still had full auto, the A2's just had 3 round burst.

The most fun I had in basic was on one of the live fire ranges. We had to burn through 6-30 round magazines on auto as quickly as possible, including swapping mags as quickly as possible.. Fortunately I didn't have any missfires or FTF, etc, mine all went through with no issues. Some of the guys had to clear their weapons several times.

Well, the m60 live fire was fun too.. The live grenades could have been more fun but they were so safety oriented it was hard to enjoy it.

After basic the most fun was firing the MK-19.. That thing was bad ass.

Most likely M4 I got a American Rifleman a lil while back and they stated that most of M4's are Colt built.

Mine is an m4. Its got auto, instead of burst, i think that makes it an a1? Its too dark to look right.

I have EOtech, but we do have all kinds of different sights in the Arms room, I will get a pic.

I see M4s ALL DAY LONG and I have this OCD eye that always goes straight for the safety. You would not believe the amount of people I have to say "hey bud just to let you know your weapon is on burst". They would rather I say something than some 1SG or SGM. Anywho I see lots of FNH and Colt hybrids, pure Colts and some pure FNH.
