Slowhand's SKS

Ok guys, we all know that slowhand has a pretty decent gun collection going now. Some can be seen in these threads-

https://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/showthread.php?t=385247
https://www.dfwstangs.net/forums/showthread.php?t=392126

Anyways, he recently bought a pretty sweet sks. The only problem was that the stock was a bit rough, and the hard wood did a number on his shoulder when shooting it. He looked on the net but couldnt find anything that would make for a suitable replacement.

He wanted a rubber stock that would take some recoil out, but wanted to do it for cheap. Well... he called me today and said he found a solution; with some of his household items, he would just make a stock! I didnt know if he was up to the challenge, but here is the end result....

....

...

This is truly the pride and joy of his collection.

Guess he went with the tan color because black was sold out?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!
