Going back for a Second Run!

I am going to the Shooters Club on 28th and Dean (right off of 35N in Fort Worth) tommorrow around 1 pm for my second run on my new addiction. My buddy has been letting me shoot his Glock 23c , I love the way it feels and the size of it. Though I have only shot a Glock 23c and Sig (don't remember the model number)

I just bought 250 .40 cal from Academy for $80 bucks , is that a good deal?

Sorry for all the newbie questions, but it's only my second time! Oh, and I really, REALLY like his Glock 23c, thinking about picking this one up, any thought son the gun?

01 GT Vert.... FINALLY!!!! "They Ain't 20's but I keep 'em clean"

Texas State women are *too* down!!!!

I'm purchasing a couple toys within the week. I'll setup a GTG at Alpine for next weekend pending weather. Then you can shoot some real fun shit!

I don't like the compensated models with the ported barrels, but that's me.

Is there a reason for that? Sorry, as I said earlier, just a newbie trying to learn the ropes! Don't really want to carry, it's just fun!

Well, part of me doesn't like the extra flash from the ports. The other part thinks that anyone that can't handle a 9mm or .40 without a ported barrel, shouldn't be trying to shoot it anyway.

Don't get me wrong, if you are doing some competition target shooting, then it's probably ok. But then again, one would likely use something other than a Glock for that.

I've seen sevral of the Glocks with the ported barrels being shot in the Factory class (I think that was their classification) in IPSC. Other than that I'm not sold on the night blindness argument cause if you've ever shot at night its a pretty damn bright flash anyway.

I shot a ported XD40 at night a few times. Really wasnt any brighter than any other pistol IMO.
