The best deal I have made was trading a brand new Nintendo Wii ( a couple years ago when no one could get them at Xmas time) for a brand new Springfield XD40. Guy owned a firearms training facility and probably got the gun for nothing, but I still got a good deal regardless.
Another deal I got was a guy that used to work for me bought a pistol from a customer of ours. He pawned it for $300 and gave me the pawn ticket to get it out cause he couldn't afford it. It was a Beretta 92fs full inox stainless gun from Italy. It was brand new in the box and never been fired. I bought it for $300 and have seen them selling between $1000-1400.
Never wrap it up, never pull out. Just grind up the morning after pill in her scrambled eggs at sunrise, she'll appreciate that you made her breakfast.

My Kimber UC2 for $500 at a pawn shop, looked brand new and shoots great. That or the Mak90 I took as collateral for a $200 loan. Ended up getting $75 cash, a fairly new Taurus .38 special wheel gun and a complete home stereo system back instead of the cash. Not cheap crap either for the time and it all still works
I had the Highland Village PD knock on my front door and hand me a Colt Anaconda. I wasn't mine but they had been told that it was so they were being nice enough to return it to me. I sold it that week end at a gun show.
