tarus 40 cal

I Just bought this gun and got to shoot it yesterday for the first time.. I am new to the hand gun stuff but when firing yesterday I hit the clip release three times releasing the clip while firing.. anyone else have this issue before.

Taurus makes a number of .40 cal pistols. Might start with telling the model?

Nope ... Than again I learned to shoot the right way. Its not called a clip, it is a magazine. Watch this video and do as he does and you wont have problems again.

I never had that happen to any of my PT's when I was shooting it. However a friend of mine did when he shot them. It had to do with the way he was gripping it. The video is a really good start. Try finding a place that does hand gun classes that should be of some help for a beginner.

I had the pt 140 and the pt 145. I had the same thing happen with my 45 but never the 40. It kicks a little too hard to do a burst accurately not to mention slipping and knocking the mag eject.

Proper grip is the solution, as long as he practices the grip I posted and does it when firing not only will the gun come back on target faster but he wont have the mag issue again.

thanks for the replys but it looks like that grip is going to push the button even worse.. but I will give it a try and let you guys know if that fixes anything....
