They have one range line for rifle they called "The Rifle Tube".
When I first heard this I did not know what to expect. But nope, that is exactly waht it is, a tube. About a 3-4' diameter concrete 100 yard tube. It is the most awkward, uncomfortable place I have ever shot. It is loud as all hell even with ear protection and the weird percussion sound down the tube is enough to throw anyone off.
You pay by the hour, and not sure if you can even have more then one person in at a time.
To seal the deal you are a floor down and the top is surrounded by windows, so if you are not already uncomfortable enough you have a bunch of nosy fucks above you watching you....
I would say go somewhere else.

We shot there a couple years ago, we had 2 people at the tube, and then almost got kicked out at the pistol range. They said he was rapid firing and at most he did a double tap. Anyways he was able to argue that a double tap is not rapid firing and that it is an accepted means of shooting in almost every type of pistol competition. They backed off but demanded no more double taps. We wont go back. The tube was hell.

Bass Pro will no longer allow anything larger than a .44 at their pistol range. I couldn't shoot my .45 ACP there last time, so I don't go there anymore.

Everything is true about the rifle tube said above, but you have to like pushing a lever to retrieve your targets. Instead of waiting for the range master to allow everyone enough time to check their targets 100yds out.

Only problem with a 300' cable is half the time you rented the tube for is spent waiting for the target to come back down. I swear it must have taken 10 mins to retrieve the paper.

Yeah, that is what I hate about out door ranges. There is always at least one dickhead that thinks he is more important then the other 12 people waiting behind the line, and has to fire off another box.

If you know a member the Dallas Pistol Club has a fabulous rifle range.

Other options: (but I am not familiar with their rifle ranges)
Bullet Trap in Plano
Target Master in Garland

a few bolt on mods....

I shot a bass pro once. I will never shoot there again. They do not treat people that want to use their range well. There are way too many other places to shoot in DFW to put up with their BS.

I've never had a problem with Bass Pro, then again I've only been there three or four times. I've never gone downstairs to the rifle range either.

Might wanna check out DFW Gun Range at Mockingbird and just East of 35, Paul. I'm pretty sure they have a rifle range which is just separated by a door from the pistol range.

Same here. I tried Winchester range off Lancaster, but prefer Bass Pro.

I went one time to the bass pro range. I never went back. I hated the damn place. The "rangemaster" didn't want to let me wear my duty rig because I wasn't allowed to draw from holster.

That is where I normally go and no major complaints that you dont get from any other outdoor range.

If you don't mind driving an extra 15 mins from bass pro there's a place in fort worth called the
Shooting gallery. It's pretty much the only place I go to now other than leases and land. I
Rapid fire there all the time and have never been bitched at, they've got an indoor pistol and
Rifle range. I've never been in the rifle range but the pistol range is great.

Bass Pro is ok, but too small and I hate indoor ranges.

The WORST Range Ive ever been to was Quail Creek though. I would NEVER go back there.

Werd. It can be fun though. And the echo is definitely oddly entertaining. My father and I were both allowed in there together BTW. If you go at the right time, you don't have to worry about onlookers.
