took the wife deer hunting

went down to my buddies place in san saba. My wife shot her first buck ever,113 yard shot with .243.

I shot my biggest deer ever, 75 yard shot,he was chasing a doe across a field.

and my buddy got 3 hogs in 1 sitting

It was a fun weekend, my wife shot at hers and missed, the buck just stood there so she shoots again and he just trots off. She got all upset thinking she had missed twice, sent several text messages saying she was sorry and she couldn't believe she missed her first buck. So I came down after dark look around and find the buck laying 20 yards away from where she shot it, piled up. She went from almost crying to screaming "I got him!" and jumping for joy. It was a great time, we saw around 75 deer between us, mostly does but the rut was definetly on. I saw my buck chasing a doe across a field behind me, they got to cover before I could get a shot. I'm sitting there waiting and about 10 minutes later another buck comes running across the field and chased them out of the cover right to me. I shot and the smaller buck didn't miss a beat, he just kept chasing the doe.

its still "we the people"right?

Congrats to you and your wife. They are both nice bucks. I had a deer lease west of San Saba. I to killed my biggest buck ever there. It was a 10 pointer, with 11-12 inch tindes(sp?) and 18 inch inside spread. I shot it while heading back to the jeep for some TP. LOL
