I'm done...

...with aluminum cased ammo.

Last time I had my Glocks at the range, I ran into this defective round. I've never had a problem using CCI Blazers, but had heard of others (and have seen the pics) that have had problems. I still have a couple hundred rounds left of this crap, but once it's gone, I am NOT buying anymore of it. Maybe discontinuing use will also reduce my cleaning time as I spend a helluva lot of time removing aluminum shavings from the action.

Wow. Has anyone ever sued an ammo manufacturer because a round like that was fired and fucked up their gun?

BTW... it may be time to toss that bell pepper in the garbage along with that round.

I've run into the same problem. CCI crap is also the only stuff I've had FTE problems with.
Both of these pics are from the same shooting session. (NOT the same round... some may disagree, but I promise I'm not that retarded )

Same problems, FTE / FTF.
Never seen that bad of a case before.
I quit using it years and years ago.
Just crap ammo.
Glad you didn't get hurt, or break something.

I've run tons of aluminum case through my XD's without a single problem, but I wouldn't even think about trying to run it through my 1911's...

I never use steel case on any of my pistols, however my AK eats WOLF steel cased like a fat kid eats cake.

That bell was just picked, but it probably won't be used. The damn plant hasn't produced much and the one in the pic is the biggest.

Oh, and this round was never loaded in a magazine. I caught it just as it was about to go in. There's no telling what kind of damage it could have caused and I don't really feel like finding out.

Maybe I'm missing it, but where did steel cased ammo come into play? The round in question is CCI Blazer which is aluminum cased.

The gun range bought a ton of CCI stuff but it kept stove piping and having other FTF issues. They never bought it again.

I just don't like the shit and won't use it.

I've only had one stove pipe in somewhere around 3k rounds through my G19, so that had never been an issue for me. Before I upgraded to the Glock, I had a S&W SW9VE. I couldn't use Blazers in that one because it would stove pipe every other round.

I'll use up what is left and won't buy anymore. My brother gets Blazers from the training academy and will occaisionally bring some to me in trade for something else, but it's only a box or 2 at a time and not very often.
