Deal of the year!

Went to Dick's to kill time and saw they had stainless 10/22's on sale for $119.98 ... obviously a mistake but I tried non the less. Dick's was out of them though so I decided to stop at two Academys on the way home. First one refused to price match and didn't have the rifle in stock, the second said they would price match but didn't have the rifle. They were kind enough to call around and find me one and the manager of the Academy in Burleson was kind enough to honor Dick's ad. I drove my happy little ass down there and bought myself my 3rd 10/22 for $129.88 out the door. That is less than I paid for a well used one recently! Here are the pics!

Let the hatefest begin!

However he was selfish and only bothered to call me after he had got the deal of a life time.

We should go shoot. You bring your 10/22, and I'll by my uzi and scream like a terrorist.

I know where he lives.

We'll bait him out and break into his place and take it!

We'd have to take my .17 HMR. Shooting at Patrick would be like prairie dog hunting!

Either of you may choose to take that distinction, however the referrence was about Patrick being shot.

Only called you after the fact because this was the last rifle available except for 2 in Sherman. I wasnt even sure it was gonna work.

As for shooting it, I am gonna hold off on shootin the thing till I get it built up right. I have decided that I am likely going to use a boyds stock, fluted .920" barrel (likely the spiral fluted one or maybe a carbon barrel) I want to polish the receiver to an almost mirror finish.

That thing you call a "dog" is more like a miniature shetland pony with a tendency to chase thrown objects.

You can polish it, but honestly the aluminum used is extremely soft it might end up being more of a hassle than anything. I brushed mine because of that. Might want to anodize it.

Brushed would be good also, I just want a really really pretty bench rifle for around $400 total invested. Heck I have 370 in that ugly tactical tack driver that I built last time ... Might as well spend a bit more and make something that looks great.

you should get a custom stock and let me refinish it if you want something pretty.
