probably just taking the ones from former officers (fired, quit, whatever) and trading them in on new ones for the new officers.

$350 for a used Glock is not bad. Those things are tough as shit and stand up very well to high round counts. My Glock 19 has probably 3,500 rounds through it by now and runs like it was brand new. It's not really expensive to replace some of the parts for ease of mind either.

The usually just reissue guns from former officers. Atleast that is my understanding of it. I have noteced that alot of PDs are moving away from the Glock to other pistols.

I saw that in their ad. I don't really care for the Glocks that much, but at that price I may have to give one a try. I am still trying to decide on a .308, but the Savage .17hmr they have in their ad also caught my eye.

That's a good price, wouldn't mind a 17 to goof around with.

The sale said through 11/1, so who knows. Summit has them for $330.

They may or may not be shot to death. Some cops I know don't shoot other than their yearly qual. Others are range rats. Hand pick if you can for the best ones.

there goes $120-$160 bucks... how much is this worn out glock now? $470-$510? You can get new ones for that price. It doesn't make sense to me. Maybe if you could find one in good shape, but really... is it worth it? I've never understood what is the merit in buying a police buy back when you factor in opportunity cost. If it was $250, that makes sense. Sure it's 100-150 cheaper than a new one, but you still end up with a gun that needs $100-150 worth of work.
