Shooting GTG?

Would anybody be interested in a little range GTG? I just bought an AK47 and want to shoot it before I go to Afghanistan on the 25th of this month. We can schedule it for next weekend, 17/18 October (weather permitting) and we can set a rain date of 24 October. I'll be bringing my new AK47, XDm .40 and my shotgun; I might buy a 9mm Glock too.

So you have been there? I dont think I am understanding the whole "Has target stands for 1x2x8 posts (you bring 1x2x8 posts to tack targets to)"

Do I need to bring my own target stands? I have paper targets, but that is about it.

Basically, it's just a berm in a field. You bring whatever you may need to set up targets. I usually just take bowling pins and pallets.

I can go, but where is it and how far from Arlington TX? I have some other Slav stuff we can shoot if FMJ is allowed AK-74 etc!

It's south of Sherman, so from Arlington it's quite the hall.

But there's never anyone there to dick with you or any other shit.

I figured it might be a haul for some people, but I figure if we can get a decent sized group to go out there it would be worth the drive. Another reason I liked this place is because you can shoot FMJ. I bought 2k rounds of 7.62 for the AK in FMJ.

I could possobly make it mid-morning or later on the 17 or 18. Later is more likely if it's on the the 18th, given the GTG planned for the evening of the 17th.

Definitely watching this thread.

I've got an event I have to do for work the 17th, and a wedding on the 24th. The 18th may have something pop up, but may not. I'll keep an eye on this, and if yall head out the 18th, I may just show up.

I probably have better odds for mid-late afternoon on the 18th.

I could more than likely get down with that. I need to acquire some .223 ammo, and maybe a couple boxes of .45ACP.

I'd probably bring out the AR, the S&W M&P, and the XD.

Maybe the .308 if I can pry if from my dad.

You can bring what you want, but i have about 1,800 rounds of 9mm. I just buy bulk from Ammoman.com and I don't have a problem sharing.

I can bring my Daewoo 9mm too
