Lee Enfield in .45 ACP?

Anyone ever see one of these before? Picked up a copy of Shotgun News a couple of weeks ago and was reading an article about some Lee Enfield .303's and part of the article strayed into a .45 ACP version that was made that used 1911 magazines. Man having one of these as a plinker Carbine sure would be sweet. Anyone ever see one before in a store or at a show?

I have no idea about them, but I have a friend with one with an integrally suppressed barrel that's pretty sweet

two answers I'll keep am short

First was a WWII used but not much conversion called a De Lisle carbine came regular stocked or folding stock using a sterling back end good info here bout it

pics of the folder on wiki

Second answer is rhineland arms recently (couple years ago) offered a conversion for a #1 or #4 enfield consisted of new barrel, mag block, and a new bolt head I believe assemble it all and you had a sorta version of the De Lisle carbine

In either case the carbine was adapted to use a 1911 mag for feeding and the De Lisle had a re-designed mag to hold more rounds Interesting gun especially in the sterling conversion

i really like my enfield in .308 (technically 7.62x51)
personally never cared for one in .45acp or a conversion
mines cut down to 16" barrel, so good brush gun

79 K5 blazer, 6" lift 38x15" tires d44/12b lockers and chromoly axles ,6.2L GM diesel - Waste Vegetable Oil conversion - cross over steering,14"SAW nitrogen shocks, beefed shackles, shackle flip, winch/ bumpers, diff covers.

I have an enfield in traditional .303 that I have never shot. My dad said it was very accurate though, could consistantly bust beer bottles at 100yrds with open sights.
