Input/Opinions needed

I'm about to purchase a hand gun and have narrowed the search down to 3 models.
Any input or opinions on these would be greatly appreciated. Other suggested .45 models would be fine too.

Thanks,

David

any 1911 variant you really like..... There is a reason this is still the handgun of choice after nearly 100 years.

True words.

I actually listed the guns in order of preference (so far). I read a lot of reviews on the Sig and have talked to a couple of professionals who swear by them. Everyone says that they are very accurate and will shoot thousands of rounds - trouble free, especially the Super Match.

I may be leaning closer to the Kimber now [though]. I like the ergonomics of it (though I really like the contoured grip on the Sig better). I also like the idea of buying an American arm and getting parts/service quicker. I guess I need to go hold the two and try and find a place that will let me rent them for comparison.

Bullet trap in Plano will let you rent them. If you sign up for the CHL class you'll get two range passes and a free rental.

Take care

No, not yet but that Kimber is looking real nice right about now. I just need to make the time to find one I can hold/shoot, then find a good price on it. I am hoping to buy online and find someone (possibly on here) who's FFL and can help me make the transaction.

I got a dollar says if you hold the Kimber, you'll buy it. I don't own a Kimber, but since taking an interest in them recently - I want to. Just a bit rich for my poor wallet.

I am a proud Glock owner though! Suck it Glock haters.

I'll say this, if I can find a gently used Kimber Super Match ii for a good price, it will be in the stable.

Decision made...

Decided to go with a Kimber, but opted for the Gold Match Stainless II (.45 of course).

But D A M N !, called Kimber and they said most of their guns, especially the custom & low production units, are a 6 MONTH WAIT!

Oh well, I got time.

Just read your last post. Good choice even though I said Sig. I have a Kimber Stainless TLE/RL II and love it.

I've toiled over comparing that Sig to the SIS, and then the Gold Match (latter being a closer match to the Sig). I went with the Kimber because of a few small differences, and the fact that it's an American made firearm.

Hell, who knows, I may get silly one day and run across that Sig somewhere and buy it on impulse. I mean after all, 6 month's is a long time to wait for a hand gun.
