Which AR-15 upper 6.5 or 6.8

Looking to buy an upper for my AR-15 lower and can't decide between the 6.5 and the 6.8. I can't find a side by side comparison so which is the better round and facts support your decision?

depends on how far you want to shoot

6.5 better if you really think you'll shoot 500 yrds plus and hit something
6.8 better if you don't want to handload and shoot 300 yrds or less like normal people. this ammo is getting cheaper too.

that pretty much sums it up.
6.8 IMO
or better yet just go .308 if you can stand the bigger recievers
