Supreme Court already decided yes, so who give a rats what USA today thinks.

In the url. It was when the Supreme Court had their vote and decided the 2nd Amendment was an individual right.

That wasn't in November of 07 was it? I could have sworn it was more recent than that.

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

If you are confused by or even think a vote on that is necessary, then you should probably move elsewhere and fast.

A vote is necessary ... How else are we going to let Washington know to leave our gun rights alone otherwise? Its not like they listen to the people anymore ... Maybe they will listen to the media.

Okay I'll play your silly game....

Let's see, how can I put this so you will fully "get it."

If you think a vote is needed on something so clearly and concisely written by the founding fathers, "Here's your sign."

A vote is only needed on this if one of two situations apply to you:

1) You are seriously anti-gun, anti-2nd amendment, and just plain anti-American.

2) You're so completely void of grey matter you can't comprehend any of The Bill of Rights (emphasis on the word Rights).

So remember, if you think the 2nd amendment is anything other than a guarantee of an individuals right to bear arms, you fit into one of the two categories above. Pick one, and by the way..... "Here's your sign."

You're an idiot. Neither of those apply to the guy you were responding to, or anybody else in this thread. His point was that a vote is necessary to show the people running the country, since both conditions apply to a large number of them.

See the 18th amendment. The founding fathers also had slaves... so I guess that makes it okay!

Thanks for clarifying it for the moron. I think that you have read enough of my posts by now to know how I feel about 2A rights.

Here's your sign. I was talking about the 2nd amendment, not the 18th or the 13th, 14th or 15th.

By the way DOHCTR, you are a flaming idiot because the 18th amendment had nothing to do with slavery. Feel free to double up on the signs. If you think the Constitution needed any amendment after 15, you can triple up on the signs.

Who's fault is that? Well El Camino, it's your fault these idiots got to be in the positions they are in. Here's your sign too.

Can't refute the position, so you come out with the ultimate internet trump card "you're an idiot." Thanks for proving my point.

Just what exactly did you clarify? It's pretty clear you DOHCTR and El Camino are sitting in a circle buffing each other's ego's showing your signs off to anyone capable of thinking for themselves.

Should we have a vote to see if freedom of speech is still a guaranteed personal right too? Or how about the right to pursue happiness?

By the way, it would make me very happy if you'd stop being a tool of the current idiocracy by pretending we need to vote on the 2nd amendment while they take away every other right we ever had from right under your noses.

Wanna vote on abortion next? What else? Any other non issues you want to make an issue out of while the government you elected usurps every right you ever had as a citizen one by one?

Go listen to some more Rush Limbaugh keep believing the Republicans can save you.

Reality is the Republicans and Democrats don't give a rats ass about anything but their precious overgrown bureaucracy.

By falling for this red herring, you are like all the other morons out there claiming to be informed citizens.

You need to stop worrying about the 2nd amendment and worry about socialism, governement controlled banks, government controlled businesses, trade deficits and debts that will ultimately lead to the total loss of personal freedom...

Do you need me to quote Thomas Jefferson to you? He predicted all of this, yet you went and voted for it anyway. What else do you want to vote on?

You should change your name to informed_citizen_poser while you are at it.

It's my fault? The fuck it is. I've only got one vote. And I refuted the position pretty well. The vote isn't to convince you or me of the Second Amendment's meaning; it's to remind the people that are trying to strip us of that right.

And you can't really criticize me, or anybody, for calling you an idiot when you started in with that whole "Here's your sign" bit.

LOL.

I was simply pointing out a very evident error witin our constitution, that being the 18th amendment (btw, if you had to look up what the 18th amendment is, you are an uneducated fuckwit). And ill be damned if im not glad that the 21st amendment wasnt in place.

As per slavery I was stating that just because our founding fathers supported a certain issue, doesnt mean that the issue is concrete set in stone and will be forever valued.

You are trying to school a history major. I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person. Now, go back to yelling "git-r-done" at the tv while drinking a natural light.
