It's an aluminum framed lightweight commander, for one, and it was made in 1967. There's nothing retarded special about them. Any special markings on it?

Give me a dollar.

Brownells or Midwayusa sell slides but most will require fitting to the frame. plus extractor, firing pin etc.

Send it Ten Ring Precision in San Antonio. Alex does some seriously good work.

What work JEsmith? Wouldnt i just pull the slide off, like im taking it apart, and slide on a different one?

dee, whats different about them?
im discovering theres not much of an aftermarket for the 1991. Im sure most 1911 internals would be the same

slides don't always come with sights.

1991 is the newer model designation for colt thats what most 80 series are called by model number.
