Need ammo... leave the city!

I travel a lot for work to and from remote customer sites in TX and OK.

I have made it a habit to stop a rural Wal Mart once in a while. Today I stopped at one I swear had at least 10K rounds of .223. I've been buying the 100 round Federal value boxes. Imagine my surprise at finding out they have 200 round value boxes too!

Rural Wal Marts have tons of ammo, and even some pistol ammo on a regular basis, but not in insane bulk like their rifle and shotgun ammo.

Rural Wal Marts also have rifles of all types, real broadheads for bows, bows, tons of outdoor gear including gillhe suits. You name it they have it at rural Wal Marts. They have 10X the outdoor gear and ammo of any city Wal Mart.

They also have it way cheaper than any stores in the metroplex. If you are buying ammo in this city, you are either lucky to find it and have been hunting, or you are being taken advantage of.

For a few gallons of gas and a short trip, you could find what most around here would consider a major windfall.

Neither of the wal-marts in Iowa have shit. I check every time i go in.

Palmetto state armory usually has something i can use in stock.

What you might call solitude is something i look forward to.

Wal Mart in NRH (820/Rufe Snow) had a lot of ammo of all types today. I just did a quick walk by, didn't have any ammo money so I didn't want to depress myself. lol

CJ and Jose,

They are 55 grain FMJ 223 boxes of 100 and 200.

Jose, you know dang near know where I live. If you want me to start grabbing two boxes or more everytime I travel for work, just send me a PM.

I use them to keep my shooting skills from eroding too much.
