Selling a gun?

A friend is wanting to sell one of his guns... What all needs to be done so it isnt in his name or anything like that...

you don't really have to have that but its better in case the gun is later used in a violent crime.

I'll buy it, as long as he knows and is ok with me being a convicted felon, mid divorce, with nasty custody issues, as well as a disgruntled employee.

Texas doesn't have handgun registration. Have your friend write up two copies of a bill of sale. He signs both as the seller, and the buyer signs both as the buyer; one goes home with the buyer and he keeps the other.

Write down the serial # to the gun's he is selling with the names of the people he is selling them too. And Keep them forever.
