Can anyone Duracoat or Krylon a gun?

Like the title says. Do you know anyone or can any of you do a good job. I dont trust myself to get the finished product I want. Heres a brief list of everything I want done.

-AR upper (everything but barrel)
-AR lower including grip, stock, and buffer tube
-Leupold MR/T (everything but turret knobs)
-Doctor site
-1mag

Im pretty sure that is it. To give you an idea I want the paint job to look like this.

He said he just used tan, brown, and black

TIA

well, problem is adhesion, sure it looks good just after he finished it, but over time the flat paints (especially krylon camo) get shiny in high use spots, it flakes off, etc.

Ya, I know. I just wanted to add a little pizzaz to an SPR Ive been working up. Finally got an optic and upper I like and will be puting it all together and know it wont match up color wise. I figured Id just go this route and give it some eye candy. Its going to be a working gun anyways so no biggy on the paint flaking or getting shiny as you said.

Well, I could do it, I've done several stocks, but it isn't something I'd really want to charge for. If you want to just bring the supplies by I can help you prep it correctly and mask the right parts for the best adhesion.

They use Pinestraw to get it looking that way...

Thats my next project.

Engineer Up!!!

ATF issued a ruling that states:"Any person who is engaged in the business of camouflaging or engraving firearms must be licensed as a dealer.

i did my ltr.got it real clean and sprayed 5 coats of adhesion pramoter then about 8 coats of krylon camo "od green".very durable no issues what so ever.

but im very carefull with my life supporting tools.

its all in the prep and quality layers of paint.allow 30 minutes dry time between coats.

Just a little info. 07 and 01 FLL's can do the work... But stay away from C&R

This is a hot issue with refinshers, this year O7 FFL's are being hit with a yearly 2,400 dollor ITAR tax from the state Department. (Thanks to Obama.)
It look like Obama is making his attack on the FFL's and not on the Firearms.

It's bullshit but if the ATF shows up at a unlicensed firearm re finisher's door it will not be a good day.

Man, this had me worried for a minute until I looked up exactly what the ITAR was.

I just got my application in the mail and for a minute I though I was applying for an 07 type...turns out I was thinking of Form 7.

Yeah, no importing/exporting here. I'll stick to the states for now.
