Me either.

I've got way too much to drag out. I really need to go through the safe and make an inventory for insurance purposes.

Funny you mention that. Shortly after the last time I posted guns on this site I came home to find a couple of guys in a blue Chevy truck idling in the street in front of my house. One of them was actually pointing at my house. They drove off as I was getting out of my vehicle. I went inside to check my surveillance camera system and saw the same truck had driven by twice the day before. My sources tell me that their plates were not registered to a Chevy truck. I don't think they were govt though. Maybe it's coincidence or maybe not.

This site is loaded with bad guys who would like nothing better than to steal y'alls stuff. Which is why I've sold most all of my stuff and protect what I have left with surveillance cameras, a loaded to the gills security system, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. They want mine they're gonna work for it...

All my shit is in a 72"x40"x30 gun safe that weighs 1,100 lbs empty. With all the stuff I have in it, it has to weigh over 1,600 lbs. There's no way a couple of guys are gonna get it out of my house without the probation officer, Irving officer, 2 Dallas officers, an Air Force Colonel, or an National Guard Master Sergeant (all neighbors) seeing some foul activity.

Oh, and all of the above mentioned people have a gun or two themselves.... :-)

Shortly after the last time I posted a pic of my collection, I had a small house fire that engulfed the room with the safe. I didn't invest in a safe of high enough quality to prevent the destruction of my collection (really only had a safe that locked, I know...stupid). Because everything I had was basically plastic, it was a total loss. I'm not sure I could bring myself to attempt to rebuild my collection. Eventually, they are like children. If you lose one, you just can't replace it.

There's a little more to your collection than a few rifles and pistols...

If you don't mind me asking, whats up with all the Garands? Is that just years of accumulation or is there a story with that box?

Just years of accumulation. Those are what cant fit in a safe or in display cases. So we stuck them in a G3 shipping box.

We have another one full of 03s and 1917s.

It really depends, I prefer to buy a quality factory gun then mod myself or have customed. For Example, Saiga .308 $420.00 Scope $100 Barrel hand lapped $65 Skeleton stock $50 Versa Pod $165.00 Total $800 Even. Or my Bojica arms 24" .50BMG cost $1,125 for the .50 upper and $429 for the Springfield Armory scope and I use one of the lowers from one of my AR's so technically thats free. total of $1,554 for a complete .50BMG

If you do the work yourself youll save a bundle, Just dont start with a junker!

What do you think of your Bojica arms upper? I'm considering buying one very soon. How is the scope mount on it, is it integrated into the upper, or is it tacked on?

edit: also, are you using a forged lower with that?

How come? I bought one and use it for varmit kills/target practice at my lease. While not that acurate due to the hard trigger, I have never had a jam and I have shot well over 400 rounds through this gun. I do plan to sell it and get the M&P model soon. This version is a carbon copy of the Glock .40, so much so that Glock sued S&W and won. Now S&W has to pay Glock a portion of each sale.

The Scope mount is great, Integrated not tacked. The lower I am not really sure how to answere that question. Its a Standard Spikes Tactical SAR-25 Multi Cal.

As far as the upper in general It runs against the more expensive uppers without a problem. I would prefer a Semi-Auto .50BMG just for the the Wow Factor but lets face it who can really afford to fire off a few mags of ammo on a regular basis. Ive only put 19 rounds down range. The AP and Incindiary rounds are to expensive to just fire off so I have them boxed. 10 AP for $112 Shipped from gunbroker.com as well as 10 incindiary for $60 shipped"got a hell of a deal on them". Not to mention a local range the can accomodate the large bore .50!

I love it as its fun to shoot and lets face it when it goes off everyone around stops shooting and forms a holly shit line but with all the draw backs of price and distance of range its almost better to get some .50 beo's
