Hornady SST on hogs?

Anyone have any experience with SST on hogs? I picked up a box today since it's one of two non FMJ loads I can find local for 7.5x55. I'm wanting to do some hog hunting with it, read a few mixed reviews on various animals. One was a 225 pound sow at 150yds with a 180 grain SST. The article said it was running straight away slightly uphill, bullet entered just forward of the pelvis and totally destroyed 15" of spinal collumn, spinal fragments and bullet took out the lungs.

The load I picked up says it has a muzzle velocity of 2900fps with a 150 grain bullet.

Comments?

if people are shooting them with a .223 mike im sure you will be allright. Sounds like it did some major damage to it.

What you might call solitude is something i look forward to.

That's what I'm figuring. We'll see soon hopefully. I've got a box of SST and a couple boxes of 165 grain boat tail soft point, I'll try both.

SST's are great hunting bullets.

I reload them in 7mm Mag and 270 Winchester. They are a little tougher than Nosler Ballistic Tips, but not as tough as Nosler Partition. But for the price, can't beat em.
