Where to pick up an LCP?

I have been looking for a very small .380 or 9mm and been checking out all the posts about the LCP. I went up to BulletTrap last night in Plano and the LCP seems very confortable capared to other guns its size. I liked the Kahr PM9 as well, and would rather have a 9mm but the price is 2X+ and it is a larger gun.

Since my main goal is to get something very small, for days when I can't conceal my Glock 23 I have decided to go with the LCP for now and maybe add a sub-compact 9mm later on to have something in-between.

Problem is I can't seem to find anyone who has the LCP, BulletTrap has a waiting list more than 50 people long and say it will be atleast 3 months before I see it. Is there anywhere I might be able to find one?

Try some the gun shops outside of town. They are hard to get.
I paid less than $300 for mine.

Check out the Kahr CW9 and CW40. They are the size of the PM9 but run just under $400

Honestly if I end up getting a 9mm, I will prob go for the Glock 26 just so I can have the 30rd magazine to have fun with. The PM9 is significantly thinner than the Glocks though so I might be able to be talked into it for carry purposes.

Anyone have any gun store recomendations on to call about the LCP? I really don't know where alot of them are in the Dallas area. I will continue to search the net and call around, I really don't want to get on a 3 month waiting list!

If you are willing to drive they recently got in about 6 at our Academy Sports here in Wichita Falls...I would call first though. The wait here is about 16 last I heard.

You will enjoy it. They are fun little guns and very easy to conceal!!!
I put the belt-clip from KelTek on my LCP. Makes it simple to carry without a holster!
It was less than $10 and fit right on it.

I think $319 is kinda high for that gun. They are nice guns though. You can pick up the Kel-Tek version for $260 if you look around!

Many Kel Tecs need extra work to work correctly. That is why everyone asks if it has had the "fluff and buff".

With the Ruger you get the quality, plus two magazines and a sweet little case.

No problem. Glad you were able to pick one up.

I only got one magazine with mine, although it did have the finger extension on it.

and I agree $320 is high, but I did not have to wait and so it was worth it to me. Once everyone gets them in stock again in 4 to 5 months you will probably be able to get them for $260ish on sale.
