Bought a new pistol today

I was at Academy today and saw a Taurus PT111 9mm on the shelf. I double took when I saw the price at $279. I asked to look at it, love the full feel grip and compact size so I bought it. I got home this evening around 5 pm so I walked out back and popped off a few rounds, I am very impressed with it, very accurate, more than reasonable price and a good lokking gun to boot. Two thumbs up from me.

That was a heck of a deal, I did post the wrong picture though, same exact gun; however, mine is not a millennium pro it is simply the millennium.

Yours is just slightly smaller than the PRO. Comes with Taurus' lifetime warranty not a bad piece at all.

The PT-1XX series are great for the money. I have the PT-145 Pro and I love it. Paid $329 for it.

I fired the millennium pro .45, shittiest gun I've ever held. Not only did I get a handful of FTE's, i had two rounds which I pulled the trigger 3-10 times each before it finally discharged. Just about the scariest thing I've ever held.

Don't take this the wrong way, but damn, that looks like a toy.

Maybe a deadly one, but a toy. I have a personal beef with the way we've allowed toy makers to make guns that look exactly like the real thing. I've drawn down on someone before because of a toy gun. When you respond to a shots fired call and you find someone that sees you and runs, you expect that they are running for the reason you were called......

Might've been a fluke. I've put at least 500 rounds through mine, every kind of ammo you can think of too. Not one single FTE or misfire.

I would back that up as well. I have the PT140 Mil Pro and I have never had any problems with mine. The only thing I don't like is because it is so short, it has a lot of kick back and seems to be harder to grip with huge man hands.

But as far as quality and reliability...I have it in my nightstand while my S&W sits upstairs...

Toy guns are pink/chartruese now days.
When I was 10 we had MP5 water gun that looked real.
The Taurus looks like a firearm to me.

Well I really like it, it is about the same size as the Makarov I gave to my best friend for Christmas. That is the second gun I have given him for Christmas to this date. If he really likes one of my guns, I usually just toss it in a box and hook him up for Christmas. I only have one best friend on the planet and he is the kind that if you ask him to help you hide a body he'd beat the corpse with a shovel first just to make sure you finished the job and he had your back, LOL.

Used to have a mil pro 40, didn't like the accuracy but never had any malfunctions with it.
