Got any more details about the AK?

And the stock is fine. Who wants to rest their gun down just to pick it back up with broken wood?

I've never seen wood break while resting anywhere.

Where'd you post up to get an offer like that? I had a tree fall on my 67 shortbed F100 leaving me with a frame that has been converted to disk brakes/power steering.

Post it up for me?

I have a powdercoated 69 chevy frame. All rebuilt and what not. I was asking $1500 for the chassis. Good ole craigslist

A friend owned about 400 ak47's. About 5 years ago, I was helping him clean a few of them. While I was pulling them out of the crate, some were so worn the wood was soft and spongy and came apart when I picked it up. I've had brand new stocks in cosmoline, break during handling. I propped (rested) an ak against a rock once and split the upper handguard. The only part of a gun I am ever rough on is the trigger.

Anyone who knows about ak's knows that the wood is notorious for breaking.

got an email today about the AK:

"Sure, the Ak is the paratrooper model, so it is short (36" overall) for easy handling in tight places. The receiver is drilled and tapped in 3 places for the mount for the Deerfield scope, but if you like the look better with the scope removed plugs can go in the holes. The gun also has it's original adjustable sights in place. It has the black ABS stock for increased weather resistance.

Oh yeah, and the AK is preban so it will accept the 75 round drum magazine where postban models will not. It is the MAK-90 variant of the AK."

I would agree with 03trubluGT on the price of the ak. I'd see if he can throw in the plugs for the scope and a 75 round drum.

Looks like I wont be trading...not enough value in the guns for the trade. Im really looking to trade and resell. I have had a couple people offer to buy the AK but dont think it will be worth it in my end.
