Didn't mythbusters try this shot??

I don't think they were able to reproduce it, the optics kept causeing the bullet to veer off track.

Hathcock was a badass, and had a ton of "unconfirmed" kills, because he worked alone some. "Marine Sniper" and "White Feather" are definitely worth reading, and they are based on his life.

In typical Hollywood fashion, they switched around a few variables on the first try. I guess they finally succumbed to all of the emails and letters regarding their first fraudulent test that they decided to do it again a little more accurately.

If I remember correctly, he aimed at a "glare" that caught his eye. It also means that the other sniper had him scoped, too.

you guys obviously know the background on that movie,i dont.i watched it once and remembered that shot.even in the movies thats amazing.
