Why did you choose the .357 Sig as your first gun?

Well from his profile you can easily determine he is a 34 year old (former) Marine, well once a Marine always a Marine, LOL. Anywho this is not the first weapon he has used, as all Marines become proficient with the M-16 and a host of other weapons. So if you step back and think/look at his profile, you wouldn't ask such a question.

The 357 Sig is one of my favorite rounds. There just to damn much money to have fun with these days. 100 rds cost you 50 bucks almost.

That doesn't say shit as to why he'd go with .357 Sig.

.357 Sig is alright just as long as you don't forget the "Sig" behind it.

There are several reasons I chose the .357 Sig:

1. It's got serious stopping power...with a 64 grain round, it's donating over 700 ft lbs worth of stopping power.

2. With the bottlenecked design of the round I'm fairly certain I'll never have any reliability issues.

3. It's not a 9mm.

4. I've always wanted to say I had a .357.

5. I can put one of those gay "This House is Guarded by Smith & Wesson" signs up.

6. And, more importantly, I only had to spend $309.00...after the mail-in rebate. I bought it at the Fort Worth Gun Show a couple of weeks ago.

This thing has some kick when fired...it put a Glock .45 I fired to shame in the kick and BOOM department.

I love this friggin thing!!!

Now I'm looking for a good sub-compact that I can put in my pocket once I do the CHL thing.

To each his own. Glad you like your purchase. If you want to have some real fun, though, step up to 10mm Auto some day.

Very nice and damn good price. I've been in the market for a handgun for what seems like forever. The M&P is the last one I want to shoot to see if I like it. The place I've been shooting has a .40 M&P to rent. I'm going to rent it next time I go.

I think the Sigma is a good pistol for the money. I've shot the 9mm and the .40 and liked both. But I think most people don't like the trigger pull.

Nice sig pic btw.

Why, thank you!

I have a Sigma 9mm that I enjoy shooting. I didn't have to pay an arm & a leg for it, and I know there are much better guns to own. I agree the trigger pull isn't the best, but I don't think that makes it that terrible of a weapon. My 2 cents.

it does when the trigger pull sucks so hard you shoot a guy in the knee instead of the chest
