Shipping Guns??

Can you ship firearms through UPS or Fedex? If not does someone know who allows you to ship firearms? I am guessing if so then I need to declare it before shipping? Do I have to have the gun broken down? Sorry if this is common knowledge but I am a newb to guns.

Yes, you can ship through fedex if you are sending it to the manufacturer for warranty. If you are sending it to an individual it has to go to an FFL for them to pick up.

Fedex has never given me any issue but be safe and get a copy of the FFL you are sending it to just in case... and unload it of course. DO NOT mark anywhere on it that a firearm is inside.

No.

And if you are mailing it to yourself or to the manufacturer you don't need an FFL.

It would save a lot of guessing if you specified the reason for shipping it..

yes you can ship it UPS/fedex if your sending it state to state but it has to go to an FFL. the gun can be complete but you can NOT ship ammo in the same package and yes its a good idea to let them know your shipping a gun. the last gun i shipped went UPS and i was told it had to go from the main hub, whichever that would be for you.

You have to tell them, but do not mark it and don't let them mark it as containing a firearm. A counter jockey tried to tell me that once. Fortunately someone else was there who knew better.

Only certain facilities will ship, and some kinkos will not handle it.
