Riprocks in Denton=FTL

They dont accept CHL as a valid form of ID, period.

Waiting on my new license to come in the mail, so Ive been using my CHL for ID. The dumbass at the counter says it's not a valid state issued license. Even after I pointed out it swipes like a DL, has your DL number, photo, DOB, and issued by DPS. But, "no we dont accept that".

Fucking gay, that bar sucks massive cock anyhow.

I used to run that bar a few years ago... I don't know anyone up there anymore, but they were wrong in turning you away. In Texas, you must have a state issued ID to become a member of that private club in a dry county, i.e. Riprock's, Lou's, etc via a temporary membership. Their ID system is an internally run system for the membership log, not something that requires a DL, but something issued by the state or federal government. Did any other bar in Denton take it?

Lou's FTW!

I used my CHL for my ID once in a bar. The bartender took it to the manager who came back and asked me if I had my gun with me.

LOL, I even told the guy his communist views were out of whack and that I left my scary gun in the truck. He didnt like that comment.

This was after, of course, explaining every lawful meaning behind the ID to him.

I could be wrong on this, because I haven't checked in 5 years...

you can't have your gun on premise if more than 51% of the establishment's sales are alcohol

Correct ... but if i am rembering correct the word "premise" is defined as past the threshold of the entrance or exit doors and does not apply to the parking lot, walkways, or property outside the establishment

I may be wrong, but isn't a CHL, with your picture, name, address, etc., and issued by the State of Texas, a state-issued ID?

Yeah... that's what I was saying, even though I wasn't very clear.

My bad. After re-reading it and knowing what you meant, I know what you meant.

what you mean to say is, there's no legal limit to being "impaired" when you are carrying. An officer can deem you impaired even if you've had nothing to drink.
