Welcome me!

Score. I got my first 2 firearms last week.
A mossberg 500, its black with an 18'' (or 20) barrel,
and a Ruger gp100 with a 4 inch barrel (.357 mag)
I keep the 12 ga. in my truck, and the 357 next to the bed.

it sure feels good to have protection

I agree. A shotgun isn't going to do much for you if you're sitting in your truck.

That sure is true, its kinda easy to grab, but not too easy to manuver.
I bought the pistol because of the new law in texas that lets us carry a handgun in the car. I want to be an expert on the law before i carry that bitch tho.

BTW, the 12 ga. has 00buck, so it wouldnt just stop clay pigeons. i know that it will at least fuck up a 2 month old pumpkin.

Went and got a holster for the ruger, it clips perfectly under the seat of my truck. The shot gun now keeps me company at my bedside.

Good call on the GP100, I have one myself. There ridiculously thick which makes it great for the hot ass reloads I use. I think I would have blown a S&W apart by now.

You can't ever go wrong with a mossberg 500 either: cheap, well built, and all kinds of accessories available.

I'd keep the shotgun in the home, and the pistol at home too. Unless you're going to get a CHL, leaving a pistol in a car is silly. Go to the mall, leave the gun in the car? I'd rather have it on me personally. I also don't want to have someone break into my car and take a pistol from me.

Dont have time for a CHL, I work about 60-72 hours a week with little time off. I esswould rather risk it gettin jacked, then go with the power to defend myself
