springfield xd owners

looking for people who carry the xd concealed......wanting opinions on the best IWB holster. ive heard comptac, crossbreed, etc but want some real life opinions from someone that carries regularly with the xd.

if it helps, im tall and thin so that makes it a little harder to conceal with some holsters.

lmao..good one asshole. but on a funny side note to that, i have a pager pal holster now and that is one reason i want a different one..the barrel sticks out a little bit by the pocket and if you look just right(and are perverted) it looks funny!

I carry an XD40sc in a Crossbreed Supertuck. It's the popular one on XDTalk. The features I like are:

Two clips. It keeps it from rotating which means I don't keep adjusting it. Two clips also means less overall thickness which means easier to conceal. The holsters that have one clip that's inline with the pistol tend to be thick.

Kydex body. Again, overall thickness is less with Kydex. It's not as pretty as leather but who cares when it's concealed. Also, leather holsters are tough to draw from unless you draw the pistols straight out. Kydex is more forgiving and will let you draw even at odd angles.

Adjustable clips. They let you adjust the cant angle and the ride height. Many of the fancy leather ones are fixed. One size has to fit all. Whatever!

My Comptac Minotaur conceals both my XD40 Service and XD9SC pretty well, subcompact with a Tshirt, and XD40 with a heavier Tshirt/sweater(its just the butt that prints)

i like that crossbreed holster, glad someone on here had some good opinions first 3hand. im really thinking now about trying to trade my XD 4" for an XD subcompact.

the xd subcompact with the grip extension is about the same grip length as a 4"models grip correct?

Yes. My XD9 Service feels exactly the same as my XD40 Subcompact with a magazine extension.
