I am about 90% sure yes.
Prior to sept 1 2007, the law read something like "you can carry when your traveling"
the issue was traveling wasnt defined at all, but majority of the people thought it was 2 counties.
On sept 1st they defined "traveling" as - in your car, as long as your not a member of a street gang or involved in other illegal acts.

In Texas, yes. As long as you're legally allowed to have a gun; the gun is not visible; you are not doing a crime other than a minor traffic infraction; not a gang member.

What he said.

Out of state, I wouldn't do it.

I just took my CHL class last week and yes you can in TX. God forbid you have to use your piece, it would be much easier to defend yourself in court with a CHL.

So you allowed to keep a concealed, loaded weapon in the vehicle at all times while inside state lines?

If you want legalese, go here... http://www.legis.state.tx.us/BillLoo...R&Bill=HB1815#

The got'cha on this one is if you get pulled over for whatever and the officer finds more than just a Class C Misdemeanor, you're fucked.
