Do WalMarts still sell ammo?

Need a case of 12 gauge shells in the morning and I have a gift card I'd like to get rid of.

Yep, I just picked up 100rnd boxes of 40S&W(WWB), 9mm(WWB), and 12 guage.
They had Federal 2 3/4 12 guage $18/100rnds.

Some stock ammo and some don't . I've seen some stores that still have a large selection of rifles and others have nothing . I guess it just depends on the side of town you are on . Over here on the south and east side of San Antonio , they got away from selling guns . Even the Academy on this side of town doesn't sell hand guns anymore . I went to a Wal Mart in Fredricksburg a while back and it had all kinds of guns and ammo in the sporting section .

Each store manager must apply for an individual FFL now, if that store manager doesn't like guns, or cannot pass the background check, then that store will not sell guns.

When mostly white people shop at the wal-mart they have guns but in the ghetto they dont. I wonder why?

Rock on. Picked up some shells and went to Elm Fork this morning.

Took my new Browning Citori out on the 12 station clays course this morning. What a great way to start a day.

Just curious but what did the 100rnd boxes of 40S&W run you? Which Walmart did you it from?

Also any idea where to get good deals on 00 Buck 12 gauge 2¾ shells?

Watch the sells at Academy. I usually buy all my ammo there, but I buy it in bulk. I actually got a #8's for three bucks a box, so I bought 3 cases.

Which Walmart? I don't think I've seen the 100 packs at the one by my house (I-30 & Cockrell Hill).

Not really. Sometimes they will show that there are sells on say, shotgun shells, but are not specific on shot size or gauge. Its best to just walk in on every Sun. or Mon. and take a quick gander. No great sell this week though. I got a few boxes of 12 guage #4's for 11 bucks which are usually 14+.

i agree with ya ammo getting to be to much $$$ but i was at a store that had their 100rd 9mm boxes missed marked and i got them for $10 a box (correct price was $17 and change), so took home what i could, they corrected it by that night, sent a friend up there and he was too late, lol.

but yea walmart off 3040 in lewisville still has rifles but the one off of main st in the same town doesnt sell guns anymore but does have the ammo. and i was shocked at the 45 auto rds being $30 a box of 100.

Not terrible. but not good. Sportsmans has CCI .45 for $12.xx so its almost average.

It was the Walmart off 121 in Grapevine/Euless, I think the one in North Irving(635/MacArthur) also used to have the 100rnd packs, but I havent been there in a while

Nah.

You've got plenty. Especially if you have cheap quality guns that jam.

blazer brass .45acp for $10 at some and 11.50 and others... not sure if this translates to other calibers, but you guys might want to check out several local walmarts before you buy.

fortunately all the ammo i use is cheap *rolls eyes* ...45acp and 223.

wal mart is only a good deal if you purchase their ammo from the bargin bin they have after hunting season otherwise Academy will be far cheaper and for much better quality of ammo. Also wal-mart remington 100 box of shot gun shells are much less quality than the remington shur shot that can be had for 2.99 of season.

just my experience but i only live 7 minutes from academy so i typically favor it over wal mart.

depends on if you know what you're looking for..

$9.47 for a 50rd box of blazer brass 45acp is pretty decent.

and i've never had any misfires or other issues.. the ammo is just very dirty.

Wal-Mart in Forney sells ammo.

Wal-Mart in Jacksonville sells guns and ammo.

It seems to be the newer Walmart Supercenters that do not carry guns. The older ones still have rifles/shotguns and ammo, but the newer ones only have ammo. The Walmart in Denton is older and has guns and ammo, but the new one in Frisco/Little Elm (423/Eldorado) only has ammo.

It's near my work but I've only stopped by there once or twice to buy something real quick. Usually I won't have time before work to go in and after work I'm ready to go home LOL! Unless I'm working on a Saturdy.
