Stocking up

In light of the possible Vet ban I've started stocking up weapons this month. New weapons in my armory this month are:

1. Saiga 12 ga with 10 round magazines
2. PS 90 with multiple 50 round magazines
3. A pair of matching Bersa subcompact .45's

More to come as I come across them.

Good for you. Hopefully you don't get fucked by such vague legislation.

A friend of mine has a Saiga and loves it. Don't forget about the Market Hall gun show Jan 5-6.

There's a thread in the political forum about it. It's a new bill that would make it harder to purchase guns if you have been diagnosed as "mentally ill"... which has never been defined. In Frost's case, he has/had PTSD so it has the potential to kill his right to purchase from retailers.

Oh, ok, thanks for the heads up.
While I kinda agree with that, that seems like a total crock and just because someone is dealing with PTSD doesnt mean they will be homocidal. I know they probably dont care enough about the veterans to be worried about them killing themselves, but rather worried they will go on a shooting rampage.

Ok, sorry Frost, didnt want to booger up your thread.

Oh, and on topic, im stocking up as money allows too, next one for me is an AR, followed by a cheapo Mosin Nagant, and another bolt action and a wheel gun. Those zombies are coming, and they aint going to kill themselves

IMO thats a good law to pass and there should also be a waiting period to purchase a weapon. I mean WTF is the rush? Unless your really needing a gun to kill somebody

Aside from me seeing a gun I like and wanting to take it home and shoot it right away, I remember reading at least one case where a woman was threatened by an ex-boyfriend or husband in a state with a waiting period; she went to a store to get a gun, and, even though she desperately needed a way to defend herself, the waiting period couldn't be overridden. She was killed before the end of the waiting period. I think Stroked71Bowtie originally posted it.

Fuck a waiting period.
Don't need one for a hammer, baseball bat, knife, etc.

I could put an air compressor and a nailgun in my truck and mess up a hell of a lot more people with it because it's silent. If people want to kill each other, they will

If you are going to kill someone with a gun, you already have it.
OR you are premeditating the whole thing and have planned on getting the gun and waiting a bit before using it.
And if you are just dead set on killing someone THAT day, youll find a way, with or without a gun you can buy without a waiting period.

You are kind of throwing out liberal arguments there...

I dont see why you would have to punish law abiding citizens that dont go out and kill/rob people with a waiting period. I dont want to go up to a gun shop, fill out all the paperwork, put money down and have to come back in 3 days to pick up a gun I have every legal right to purchase that day.

x2 Where theres a will, theres a way. If you want it done, it will be. a gun is just one of many ways to kills someone; it just hapens to be a preferred way because the killer wants to feel detached from the victim and not bring it closer to a personal level.
