Guns are good investment.

How does that snubby shoot with .357 Magnums?

I have a Ruger SP101 in 357 mag, it's harsher than my 44 magnums, but they are all long barreled, I usually load it with old law enforcement 38 special. I also have a GP100, that is a lot more pleasant to shoot. Personally, in a wheelgun especially magnums, I would recommend a 4 inch barrel at the minimum....

does switiching back and forth from 38 to 357 do anything bad to the gun in the long run?

you should clean the cylinder anyways. switching back and forth has no effect.

You don't see it much now days since most all LEOs shoot autos, but back when they would put 1000s of 38s through their 357s they might get a residue buildup
and affect chambering 357s.

Yeah, but shouldnt you still be cleaning it after those thousands of rounds anyway
