Not to hijack, but...

You use a gun for work which, I'm guessing, means at some point in time you could need that gun to defend your life... yet you still carry a "piece of crap"

Why wouldn't you get something else?

this guy seems to think otherwise...

www.downrange.tv/ruger/specs.htm

thousands of rounds through 50 different guns, and only two stoppages, which were cleared up with a simple tap of the heel of your hand...

I know my P85 has 10k rounds through it, not 1 jam, and I've thrown the Cheaper than Dirt bulk 9mm stuff at it, +P, reloads, lead reloads, JHP, the only ting I haven't tried is lead wad cutters, for obvious reasons. My p90 has 3k+ rounds through it with 1 stoppage, a faulty case. It was ripped down the side. I own several Rugers, 3 44 mags, 2 357 mags, a 41 mag, a 9mm, and a 45acp, and my 22 single six. My older brother owns a couple more wheelguns, My dad has 2 more revolvers. My family together owns at least 25 ruger guns, rifles, pistols, and a shotgun, I want to get a Red Label, then I will be happy.
Anyone who has issues with a Ruger not cycling properly has limp wrists. Figure that out security guard man.

Never owned a Ruger, but have always like the ones I've shot. Of course their may be "better" (by opinion) guns out there, but not many for the $.

I had a P95 and it was an EXCELLENT gun. I sold it to a board member just because I never shot it after I got my Glock. Id recommend a Ruger to anyone. They make excellent firearms and have for centuries. I never had any issues with it.

You are so inept that you took your gun to a gunsmith to have it cleaned?

I'm not sure that I would have told that on myself...

"Ruger made excellent guns for centuries"

????

eh?

Ruger is good stuff.

I prefer my Blackhawk over a 629 in the hunting field.

yep even If I hit The stand it'll knock that down too. I'd Say I've put somewhere near a thousand rounds (very conservative guess) though mine this year without a problem... LOL things I don't know... I Know how to clean my own weapons, no need for a "gunGsmith" for BASIC shit.

Why because Rugers don't cost 600 dollars or more? Don't judge a gun by it's price that'll cost ya. If you want expensive guns, what about my Desert Eagle @ $1100 or my custom 300 win mag, the 26" Hart precision match barrel cost me more than most rifles do. I've got scopes that run upwards of a grand, have you ever seen a Leupold 10x ultra? How about Shepherd? I have 3 of those. I probably have more rifles that will shoot 1/2 MOA than you do that will shoot MOA. We don't even want to go with my Barrett do we? I've got almost 6 grand wrapped up in that. I've hit pie pans at 700 yards, let me get it to a big range, I want to shoot it out to 1500 meters.
So what in your screwed up, goofy as a runned over dog, twisted mind is a good gun?
How's this for a POS Ruger?
25 yards, 7 1/2 inch barreled Super BlackHawk, 44 mag.

Figured I would just resurect this thread instead of starting a new one.

The wife and went looking for a hand gun to provide a little home pretection and do some shooting on the weekends. She's fired a Ruger 9mm before and was much more comfortable with it than the glocks or springfields we tried.

We didn't get a chance to shoot the new SR9 but it did feal really comfortable to hold for both of us. I was just wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with this gun yet and what your thoughts on it were.

Thanks.

Dallas news reports Tony Romo tried to commit suicide last night!

Fortunately he dropped the gun and the bullet was intercepted!

unless they changed the spring design from the p95d i wouldn't pick one up. For only a couple more dollars you can get an M&P $410 from bachman with 4 mags after rebate.
