Looking to buy a 14 gun safe today. Preferably electric lock and fireproof.

Recommendations?

safes

I bought my liberty safes from America Safe Depot in Kennedale.

The delivered and brought the big ones into the house with a cool little motorized dolly.

I got an awesome 26 gun Browning safe at Sports Authority, blew anything at cabela's away and I got it for a ridiculously low price. If you find a high priced Browning or other quality safe there it's probably the last one they have because they stopped carrying them. The manager told me something like people aren't willing to spend the money on them so there selling off all of the display models. So if I were you, I would definitely call around.

Academy sells a couple different brands of Gun safes... some are fire resistant, some arent... it depends on how much you want to spend..

I ended up going to Dick's
Got a Stack-On "Total Defense" 28 gun safe. Combo lock, 30 min. fire rated, blah blah. Regularly $699... on sale for $599, with a $50 mail in rebate. Pre-tax, $549

They use a third party delivery service, who wanted $250 to bring it to me. Fuck that!
I'm going to pick it up tomorrow evening.

I tried to buy one there last week when they were $200 off, but they sold the one I wanted even though I had a hold on it. Worst part is that I offered to pay for it first and pick it up later and they told me to just wait until I picked it up to pay. By the time I got back it was gone.

Wal-mart in Jacksonville had a nice looking gun safe with digital lock for $350 this weekend in Jacksonville. They sell guns there. I don't see that safe at the Wal-Mart in Forney where they don't sell guns.
