I did some reading and it seems most people that have them hang onto it being they like it
Yes it was a great gun. I have no bad things to say about it. I have heard some say when new they jammed some until they ran a box of ammo through them. Mine never jammed new or otherwise. Only reason I got rid of mine was because I traded it for a shotgun. Next time I buy I plan on getting another bersa in .45acp
These are good sites for finding ballpark prices. The Gunbroker sight tends to run a bit higher than local DFW prices. Keep in mind S/H charges as well as transfer fee and tax where applicable.
Bachman Pawn is pretty nice place in Dallas. They have a lot of handguns, but very limited in hunting rifles. I bought my brother a gun there. Luke has some good prices in there compared to other places in town.
If you are looking for rock-bottom price, try a gun show or seller to seller.
Have you checked out the Bersa forums? I've handled three that have a bad habit of releasing the slide when you insert a magazine. I'm sure there are error proof Bersas out there but I've also heard enough bad feedback about them to not want to own one. Heck, it's a .380. You'll forever be arguing on forums that's it's powerful enough for personal defense. The .40 and .45 guys don't have to argue its lethality. Buying a Bersa 380 is like buying a V-6 Mustang. You can convince yourself it's good enough but you'll always wish you went for more.
