Buying at a gun show

The other gun show thread got me thinking...

When buying a used handgun at a gun show, do you need some kind of documentation or bill of sale. I donít know how it works at all, but what if the gun was used in a crime and then I buy it. It sounds like it could be trouble. Am I crazy for even worrying about that?

At a gun show, 99% of them are dealers that will make you fill out paperwork.

Just becareful of the "Pssstttt Hey Buddy" dealers... heh

Do they call and get the normal "authorization". I know sometimes that may take a while, so you kinda just have to wait around?

Dealers do. They only CHECK YOUR BACKGROUND. Not the firearm.

FTF private sales require no paperwork or check.

Just be sure and do your research and don't pay $500 for a use Glock 19.

Haha. I am definitely not buying a Glock.

I've been looking into a gun for about 6 months and finally decided on a Walther P22. I'm only going to buy it if I find the price I want.

Its my first gun, so I want to start out small, reliable and most of all cheap! Next I move on to the Beretta M9, PX4 Storm, and Tomcat...for starters
