High point?

I know I see tons of people who hate this gun,but for 100 bucks is it worth owning? I see many views that say if you use quality ammo that you shouldn't have any problems. Also that the break in period is 100 rounds and then you should have no problems afterwards. Just looking for a decent 9mm and I saw it was on Best9mm.com's top 20 list.

Id never waste a hundred bucks on one, but I guess for just target shooting it might be worth it, just dont trust your life to it.

I have used a Hi Point 9mm for about 2 years. It has never given me any issues whatsoever. Never jams, fires true, etc. It is a great budget gun.

No way, highpoint FTL. Put another $50 with that and you could get a PA-63 makarov. Isn't a prize winner by any means, but if you're on a budget it's a lot better pistol than any highpoint.

I bought a compensated 9mm for the hell of it over a year ago, and Ive put over 2000 rounds of all different kinds through it. Not one problem. Even went through a cheap box of unjacketed ammo and didnt have trouble.
Wouldn't trust my life on it, but its something inexpensive to screw around with like I did. It was mainly for family and friends to fire at the range with me. Most people that talk shit about them, haven't even owned one. You can tell them apart because they call them "high points" and not "Hi-Point".

I owned a Hi Point 40 and every other round jammed. I wound up literally giving it to my dad just because I was pissed.

My buddys from HS .40 did the same thing, I think he may have ended up getting $25 bux for it lol.

DatDude, dont come at me and tell me I dont know what the fuck I'm talking about. If I had never dealt with a Junk-Point I wouldn't have posted about them.

Or a Pinto. If you want a weapon to just plunk with, get a Bersa Thunder .380 or a Llama. Both very good weapons

I use to have .380 Bersa, excellent pistol for the price and very well made just overall a slam dunk. I traded it to my brother for a shotgun since he wanted a ccw and he's had nothing but good things to say about it. Next pistol I buy will be another Bersa product.
