Walter PPS = Slimmist looking Glock-like pistol?

Don't know if I care for the mag release but from what I just read it's only a tad thick than a Kel-Tec PF9 and a little heavier but more than makes up for it in the look and feel department. To bad it's like $700.

Well hopefully you wouldnt need to fiddle with that thing if you needed to reload quickly.
I like the looks of it though, but it deffinantly needs a "button" mag release...
I also like the size too, subcompact sizing, looks like a nice fit, ill need to check one out at the upcoming gunshow if they have one...

Is the only safety the trigger safety?(besides the internal striker safety)

I like the slimmer design!

Sub XD9 / PPS

I think I'd be practicing my tactical reloads quite often with that gun. I'm still digging it but it's out of my price range. Good pic for comparison. I'll have to check to see if any local gun stores are carrying it just to see how it feels in my hand and how the mag release works.

It's similar to the mag release on a H&K USP isn't it?

Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel, "Pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the Promised Land." Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said,"Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the Promised Land." Now Obama has stolen your shovel..., taxed your asses, raised the price of camels and mortgaged the Promised Land!

Not sure how, I just scanned the other posts quickly, but thats a little unsettling...
EDIT: spring came off the slide and locked it open... after only 20 rounds

Also, I hate that grip key thingama jig! If thats ever damaged/broken/slides off, gun wont fire. Which sure, that could be a good thing, or a VERY bad thing when the shit hits the fan...

It's just like a mag disconnect. It could save your life, but it could (imo) more likely cost you your life.

Yeah if the messed up spring/slide didnt cost you your life first!

I actually dig the looks and slim design, but the grip disconnect/safety, and problem the one guy had after only 20 rounds is kind of alarming...

Shit happens sometimes, but I'd certainly put a lot of rounds through it before I trusted my life to it.

I have a P99 qa as a duty weapon and love the mag release on it. It's just like this little one. I've been waiting for this one to come out for close to a year.

Yep, I love my XD 40 Service, and pending funds, this weekend ill be checking out the XD9 SCs at the gun show

I shot a G17 today for my CHL class, and I wasnt a big fan, actually shot pretty decent with it, but didnt like the feel all that much.

Its like a car, a house, a girl, or a job.......some you like, some you don't. I am actually preferable to my M&P 40c. Same thickness as a Glock ( double stack), but about the same size as this gun. Its only a hair bigger.

A lot of it is what you are used to. If you tend to shoot a certain polymer gun then you will obviously be more comfortable with it than a different one. It is especially true if they are similar like an XD and Glock. Just close enough to make the differences annoying.

I had a chance to handle one, just not shoot it. I really liked the feel and size. They are extremely thin as the pic shows. Regarding reliability, as stated I put hundreds of rounds through any gun I intend to carry before I carry it.

So if anybody finds one at a local gun store please post up. I'd like to check it out (although I doubt I can afford one right now).
