I was out on a friends land and noticed a bunch of shot gun shells laying all over the place. I think thats pretty shitty to leave trash all over the place.I would think hunters would like to keep the woods looking nice but I guess Im wrong.

I pick them up. Once I accidentally left a 30 round loaded clip in the back pouch of the front seat on a certain grey dodge diesel I sold to a good friend. I'm glad he didn't end up in a Mexican Prison

No, most of the places we bird hunt, the owners have cattle and they really don't like that... I always pick mine up unless I can't find it, and I try to pick up others that are laying around

I pick them up.

Although your subject and your poll are worded completely opposite.

Your thread asks if you leave your shells behind, and your poll asks if you pick up your shells... Some people may not read the poll question.

Dad and I reload our shotgun shells, don't hunt with a rifle though but would probably reload those too.

I dont hunt, but when I go shooting I pick it up just because I leave more than the normal person in brass.

But then it also depends on the place.

Always, unless maybe it's like 1 or 2 shots like deer hunting and you really don't
know where it ejected to in the heat of the moment. We don/t want to give the
antis' any more ammunition to sway the undecided people. Same way with
fishing. I was always taught to leave it better than you found it. You wouldn't
want people to leave trash on your property.
That's one reason cruiseing was banned in most places, people leaving trash
everywhere.

I try to pick up my empties everytime, but it's hard to get them all, especially when you let about 10-15 rounds fly Damn herd of pigs!!

Yes we do. Not only, but we usually form a line at the end of a morning hunt and pick up all the trash in the fields. Sometimes there is just too much, but we try to make a dent even in the heavily trashed areas. I have even been known to take a trash bag with me as well.

I don't hunt, but if I did, I'd pick mine up. Even if you don't reload, you can probably find somebody that does and give them away or make a few bucks.

It depends, when I duck hunt its kind of hard to when they either sink or take off floating before I can get to them. But if I can yes I do.

I got kinda pissed off last day of duck season last year, a few of people that I know were invited to hunt on a guys lease since no one else was going to hunt. There were some low class "people" there I guess since everyone except for me and the guy who invited us stayed behind to clean up the trash. I did manage to score a box of 10ga shells that one of the A-holes left so I guess that was my reward for being such a nice guy lol. I mean when you are hunting in a pit its not that hard to clean up everything usually stays there.
