interchangeable magazines

Would a Colt 1911 magazine fit proper into a S&W 1911? Thanks.

I dont see why not a 1911 is a 1911. Now if we're talking along the lines of having improvised changes bewteen manufactures etc etc. Then I dont know.

Well the reason I ask is that the Colt magazines dont have that stupid rubber piece on the bottom. I like the Colts flush look.

a 1911 is a 1911 .... I didnt like the base pads on the mag before but they are useful when doing fast mag changes ..,, just make sure you test the mag before you try and defend anything with it in the gun ... 1911s are picky about mags

Base pads are good if you shoot competitively. You normally let your empty magazine drop on the floor during reloads.

A friend of mine uses Wilson Combat mags in his Springfield 1911.
