Psg1

Looking into buying one of these. I know only about 600 or so exist in the US, but what would be a good price to pay? So far the lowest I have seen is 12k, but these are extremely hard to find for sale.

Good_ole_red, if your reading this then sell me one of yours, im sure theres one or two in between your couch cushions

I dont own one and never will. There's way cooler stuff to buy out there than a modified HK91...

Ive read alot about these rifles and it seems consistent .5 moa groups are easy to achieve at 500 meters. Seems pretty badass to me!

Personally, I would go out and buy a National Match Springfield Armory M1A and Get a Military Scope Mount put on it. You'll probably get the exact same performance out of that rifle as you would with the Modified HK91.

Also if you want a cheaper version of a good Shooter, just go out and buy the Remington 700.

And in the end you've just spent $10k+ on a HK-91. Like I said, I'll never buy one.

You don't need to spend that kind of money for sub MOA accuracy. If you're buying it for the look at me factor, have fun. If its for accuracy, shop around and save some green.

There is one for a lot less than 12k. I would rather spend the money on a barrett 50.

But that's not a "PSG-1", hence the price difference.

Import dates, markings, and firearm features etc etc.

HK SR9 were imported with modifications under Bushs' law for the importation of firearms and truly are just HK-91s, just relabeled and added features to either meet the hunting or sporting guidelines for firearm importation.

m107

If your looking at spending that kind of loot on a nice rifle I would buy the Barrett M82A1 "M107". Now this bad ASS .50 bmg is a long range rifle. Forget about that little 308. These rifles are going to continue to increase in value because there is such a demand for it. That HK rifle is at its peak value I dont belive it will continue to increase much more.

Yep. If you've just got money to burn, and want novelty, might as well go real big.

The only problem with a .50 is finding somewhere to shoot the damn thing.

Tac Pro shooting center will let you shoot that. Go west on I-20, turn left on 108 in Mingus (lol!), and then turn left about 5 miles down. They have a 1000yd range, and have classes for shooting things at that range.

Give me a dollar.

I can understand you wanting a specific rifle. But if you just want a mid range, accurate semi-auto I would get a GAP built DPMS with good glass (US Optics, Schmidt-Bender, Nightforce, etc..).

Personally I'd rather have a 308 over the 50. No offense to the 50, But I can go deer hunting, hog hunting, etc... You really can't do that with a 50 in Texas. A 50 would be an extreme overkill, not to meantion 10 dollars a shot.

The black powder cartridge shooters do around 1MOA with open sights, and the scoped handgunners can hang with them (at 1/2 kilometer). Sounds like a lot of money for something that isn't that much more accurate. But if you want it just because, well, no reason not to get it if your wallet can handle it.
